6-year limit while waiting for the approval of your I-140 or LC. I apologize

Fan (the lawyer) probably also misunderstand regulations related to this issue.

My most updated study on this issue tells YOU CAN APPLY FOR THE H1B ONE-YEAR INCREMENTAL EXTENSIONS UNTIL A FINAL DECISION IS MADE TO YOUR I-140 OR LC. This means as long as you are waiting for your I-140 or LC approval which has been filed for more than 365 days, you can apply for H1b extension without time limit (certainly more than 3 years). I believe this is true. I intend to further verify this statement.
