I485 reply from INS

I called USCIS last month about my case and got the following reply yesterday:

"The file has been requested from the Nation Record Center. As soon as it is recieved the I485 will be reviewed".

I am not very clear about their reply. Is the National record center a part of FBI or USCIS? What dose this message really tell?
