It is a 3 year ban from re-entering US. If you overstay by 1 year, a 10 year ban.

If you do get the offer, chances are you will have to go to a third country to apply for H1 because of the gap in your status. Again, if the gap is greater than 180 days, you won't be allowed to re-enter US for 3 years.
