can I EAD to work as part time

140 passed, 485 pending, holding H-1b now.
in this case, can I use EAD to work for a company as part time? will this
make my H-1b visa status invalid? But I am still working for original
employer with H-1b visa.

anyone can point me some clues? Thanks
