Help: CP processing

I adjusted my status in USA after I-485 was approved. Now, I am working on bring my wife here by filling I-824. Should I request CIS to notice a Consulate or send my applicaiton to NVC, then NVC notifies the Consulate for further processing?

What documents should I prepare fro Consulate interview?
