問一個關於房子買賣的事情

We signed an offer to sell our apartment several month ago. The contract has an extended closing period. The house will be escrow closed in Dec. We were pushed to sign by the agent, now we regret a little bit. Since we didn't get the 10% deposit since we didn't check the offer carefully, the deposit was put in lawyer's place instead of giving to us. we were kindly cheated by the local agents and buyers. Since if we know we could not get the deposit, there is no way we want to sell the house that time to the buyer.


If we withdraw from the offer and we don't signed the closing document in Dec, what is the penalty? In the contract, it is stated that we should pay the deposit plus the agent fee plus lawyer fee. What else we need to pay as penalty? we talked to a lawyer , he told us the buyer could apply for 強製收屋. I have never heard of that since we lived in US for long time. And the real estate practice are very different. So anyone has any idea? Thanks.
