N95 Particulate Respirators offer superior performance compared to General Use Face Masks and far outperform cloth face coverings. Designed to provide a tight face-to-mask seal, N95 respirators reduce both inhaled and exhaled air leakage. FLTR N95 respirators are proven to offer ≥95% filtration of airborne particulates to 0.3 microns.

These NIOSH approved N95 Particulate Respirators are authorized for medical uses under an emergency use authorization issued by the FDA on March 2, 2020 (updated March 28, 2020).

The FDA Emergency Use Authorization remains in effect until revoked, allowing these respirators to be used by medical professionals and to be considered medical devices.

Approved by NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health), FLTR N95 respirators meet a wide range of robust standards to ensure safety and performance. NIOSH-approved disposable particulate respirators are also known as “air-purifying respirators” because they protect by filtering particles out of the air as you breathe. NIOSH uses very high standards to test and approve respirators.

Independently Tested, Proven Performance

FLTR N95 Particulate Respirators undergo a rigorous 3-stage quality control and performance testing process to ensure consistent, reliable standards. They are produced at internationally certified facilities, tested on state-of-the-art technical equipment at FLTR’s QC department, and verified by independent 3rd party test labs.

This product has been tested using the NIOSH 42 CFR 84 Class N95 standard which independently verifies particulate filtration level, flammability, and inhalation/exhalation resistance. Tight Face-to-Mask Seal

Masks with gaps at the edges allow airborne particles to bypass the filter when a wearer inhales. This is known as leakage.

The tight face-to-mask seal of the FLTR N95 Particulate Respirator reduces leakage, and directs inhaled air through the filter membrane to minimize inhaled particles.

Secure fitting head straps pull the mask back snugly against the face, while the rounded factor conforms well to a variety of face shapes and sizes.

Why is the Filter So Effective?

Polypropylene is naturally water repellent. Moisture captured by the filter membrane quickly evaporates.

When polypropylene is heated and blown, it forms very thin, fine filaments which bind together in an irregular three-dimensional mesh.

Particles are trapped by these filaments as they move through the filter.

The end result is a highly effective filter with minimal impact on breathability.

Multi-Layer Construction

Each layer of material is selected to deliver the functionality required by demanding wearers.

An outer layer provides a barrier against large particles and droplets.

A filter layer using our purpose-built melt-blown membrane that captures small particles and aerosols.

The comfort layer helps to capture and wick moisture and heat from exhaled air away from the mouth and face.

The adjustable nosepiece sits on a soft, open-cell foam nose cushion for comfort and to maximize face seal.
