  1. Sonohysterography for assessment of uterine abnormalities
  2. Anticardiolipin antibody (IgG and IgM) titer and lupus anticoagulant performed twice, six to eight weeks apart
  3. Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) and thyroid peroxidase antibodies
  4. Parental karyotype and karyotype of the abortus if the above examinations are normal

Additional testing depends upon the diagnosis suggested by the history, physical examination, and laboratory results.
