forearm surgery

Hi,

My forearm surgery is 6 and half weeks now. Have a titanium metal plated in. 

I have started ocupational therapy (OT) last Friday. The OT massaged the scar of incision, it was quite painful, and felt hot in the area for 12 hours after the massage,  may be it is too early to do the massage?

Oh, to update my numbness on my thumb, it still feels numb, but a little better than 6 weeks ago, very slowly.
