15xx年的時候，鍾表的精確度應該沒有達到1/10秒，更別說1/100秒。

單擺振動是伽利略發現的。1656年，根據單擺原理發明了單擺鍾。“Early versions erred by less than one minute per day, and later ones only by 10 seconds, very accurate for their time". 這個精度可是那位“1/100秒”100年後才達到的精度呀！
