September statement: "Inflation remains elevated.”

December statement: “Inflation has eased over the past year but remains elevated.”

 

On the economy

September statement:

“Recent indicators suggest that economic activity expanded at a strong pace in the third quarter.”

December statement:

“Growth of economic activity has slowed from its strong pace in the third quarter.”
