This cost is killing me for 1940s house. Should I get a plumber to snake it?

Washer on the 2nd floor would drain into sink in the kitchen on the 1st floor.

Any local handyman or plumber to recommend?

I found one from Thumbtack. Quick response from those guys. Google ones don't answer.

update: This smaller company recommend changing 10-15ft long pvc pipes from 1 1/4" to 2" at where three lines join into trunk. They claimed the factor that water can flow into sink on the 1st floor so the water flow from washer down is good. Clog is most likely at joint. Per them descaling rotor could never get into 1 1/4" line. I decided to trust their story. Total cost close to $1k and I ended with new 2" 10-15' line at joint. Could not wait much longer for drainage work so I don't plan to get more estimates to clear drainage line. For main clay pipe section to city line, I still plan to get more estimates. But it would be nice the 1st company has exact drawings on the positions of clay pipe.

Just spent $1400 jetting 10 ft of clay pipe with roots. They estimated $33k for putting liners in that section.
