I’m not getting in the car

During J6, Pence refused to follow secret service request by saying "I'm not getting in the car". The hypothetical scenario is, if he got in the car to evacuate the Capital, following secret service, he would go somewhere far away and then he would not have chance to certify the electoral votes which is critical for peaceful power transition.
