The Natural is a great film, yet Mr. Roger Ebert strongly believed otherwise. He was a great movie critics, and he was right when he said that it's not a baseball movie. No, it was not, but an American fairy tale instead, where, at the end of the film, our hero (Roy Hobbs) plays catch with the son of Iris and him, while Iris "sits in the stands, wreathed in ethereal light, and inspire him", happily ever after.
