I bought a motherboard for my thinkpad frm ebay, and replaced the bad one myself.
Before you decide to bid, make sure you can find some who can install it for you. Although installation is not that hard, but it definitely requires someone who knows how to do it.
BTW, you also need to be cautious when bidding on ebay. Fortunately, this seller seems to have very good rating.
