Mine at home runs absolutely less than 20 processes and it DOES RUN a firewall (not the one from XP2). Found one Chinese spyware in 2.5 years, no virus. Listen to music? Yes, I do that. AND I do lots more :)

Oh, antivirus software? They are resource-hungry garbage monsters and do nothing really. Amatures feel more comfortable seeing them running of course.
