Can your computer detect the new HD? Did you try to boot from CD-ROM (or Floopy disk if you have a Windows Me/98/95 Startup disk)? If your system could detect the new HD and/or could boot from CD ROM / floopy disk, and your old HD works fine on another computer as a slave drive, you may try to use a new HD cable with your old HD.
I can not access my yahoo mail from office. Sorry.
