You'll need to activate your copy on desktop machine.
Windows XP Home/Pro is supposed to be installed onto
one and only one PC. If your Windows XP Pro is a
corporate version then there is no activation needed.
Without activation, you'll be able to use Windows XP
for about 90 days. After that it'll stop working.
