CDROM driver corrupted, how to

CD rom is not working. What should I do? I transfered all files on the original installation CD to my desktop. Searched for the corrupted driver, not found.
Downloaded one--LiteOn TD163, not sure how it works (it doesn't seem to work).

Please, experts, help me out!
