It is a notebook, not a laptop

I heard this joke a while back. Someone had the same problem as you have and called Sony for help, stated his laptop was too hot to put on his lap. Sony respond: we call them notebooks, not laptops, you shouldn't put it on top of your lap in the first place.

This might not a funny matter to you, but it does happened a lot with Sony's NOTEBOOKS.

Call their tech support if I were you, you may get a better answer, or funnier one.
