Remove the old one and put the new one in to see if you can
start your machine. If not then your MB is the one which has the
problem. I don't know where to find HP MB without contacting HP
support. HP used to use Asus MicroATX MB. Check your MB label or
onboard print. If it is Asus MB then you can find a similar MB from
Asus (a lot of online sites sell that brand). You can also use any
other brand, such as Biostar, Gigabyte, Abit, etc. as long as they
use the same chipset as what is used in your MB. Then you don't
have to re-install your Windows OS.
