What is your OS?
1. Download ad-aware and spybot from download.com;
2. install both;
3. Run ad-aware first (check for update before start to run); If some process cannot be stopped, them follow the instruction and allow the program to run at start-up;
4. Run spybot;
5. If you know how to modify registry, search "prosearching" and delete any keys or values;
6. Download and run hijackthis, look for BHO and R0, if you don't know which of them are "bad", copy and paste the log here and have someone to help you;
7. after you doing all these, right click "start" button and go to "explore", type yahoo.com or google.com (whatever address) at the address bar (bypassing launching IE directly from the desktop), then go to "tools" - "internet options" to reset your homepage.
