You may try this...

Download the correct CD-rom driver to your floppy disk, and includes that driver in your config.sys file. Boot from that floppy disk to enter Dos mode with CD-Rom driver loaded. Then you can manually restore the system from backup WinXP CD. You need the system CD readable from CD-ROM to restore.
