For word processing, you won't feel the the difference. Gaming and watching DVD, the Celeron machine will start slow since it only has half of CPU cache. For a big amount of CPU processing power request, the Celern machine can only take half amount work compare to P3 machine. If $$$ is the issue, look for AMD process, it will take less from your pecket.
