you can spend $1,500 to buy 5 laptops in 5 years. That way you can save a lot to pass 2 year limit!

In fact, I am not sure how did you use your laptop, my thinkpad works way past 6 years.

If the laptop will be used on bed sucking in all the lint and dust, nothing can last more than 2 years. The cheap model is your best bet to "last" while save.
