I only use BW laser right now, but similar situation.

1 new machine about $70 ~ 100 for 500 pages toner
1 new toner (not replacment) $60 for 2,000 pages.

so overall toner is still cheaper than a series of machines.

So $60+x > x*4 --> x must be cheaper than 20.
