Some one uses my yahoo account sending ads, Please help!

Hi :

All my friends, include my son's teachers, business partners receive advertisements from internet, but they look from my yahoo account. I have a lot contacts in this account, it is hard to change it. Can someone help: how could this happen and what can I do to stop this?
