You can use it as a 'real' PC. However, to achieve good performance, you need fast CPU and lots of memory. I won't use it on Macbook Air. Macbook Pro with lots of RAM is recommended.

 

The best part of Parallel environment is that you can install and configure a 'clean' Windows system, then make a copy. Install 'dangerous' or 'working' stuff on the copy system. Anytime you find a virus or unstable 'PC', just delete it (it is a simple file), the make another copy from your clean original.
