Sony has a exchange program for E-book reader now. Sony will send you a refurbished reader for $29 (within 1 year) or $99 (beyond 1 year).

I recently break the screen on my prs-505 and Sony repair service said that they will send me a PRS-600 for $29 (i bought mine almost 1 year ago.) I am still waiting for my prs-600, tho..
