今天的Dell已經大不如前了

DELL的台式機做了幾個trick.

無法升級主板. Front panel connector non-standard, pinout 不公開.

HSF有可能non-standard. 升級功耗大的CPU有困難.

BIOS極爛. 很多CPU, RAM不認.

DELL的機器用幾年後隻能扔掉. 連機箱都沒法reuse.

I have only owned Dell once. Personally I will never buy a Dell any more -- unless it's 50% the price of a comparable HP/Compaq.
