Personally I think if you really think it is the hard drive, you could easily change it for a few bucks.

But for me, it is more about the design, like heat dispersing, proprietary mother board, graphics card, stability, portability, etc.

Some times, however, you might need to give your computer a clean re-installation of all the software.
