Step I
Go to intel web site download this driver
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&Inst=Yes&ProductID=1637&DwnldID=16617&strOSs=44&OSFullName=Windows*%20XP%20Professional&lang=eng

Step II
(A)boot up you system in safe mode.
(B)Add/Remove software, -> Any intel utility
(C)Add/Remove Hardware -> Remove intel 2200BG

Step III
(A)Restart
(B)Once system find new hardware, use new driver you just downloaded.

It should work .....
