I tried what you mentioned. However, it doesn't work. CPU is seated correctly since the base has 4 different non-pin areas which are corresponding to the non-pin areas in the CPU. Memory is in slot 1. That's for sure. I put MOBO outside of the case and connected it to PSU. Still same problem.

I have sent an inquiry to ECS support. If I can't hear anything helpful from them, I might have to RMA it.
