dual core = 2 duo

For monitors, I owned both glare and anti-glare's.
Bright one (glare) has better color presentation, particularly you can see it when you play movies. However, it's uncomfortable with your eyes, especially there are strong light resources behind you.

Anti-glare is just opposite.

My recommendation - buy anti-glare ones. Additionally, some of Dell laptop received a lot of complaints. You might want to look at Thinkpad. I have used/owned many laptops including Dell, HP, Toshiba, Compaq, Acer and Thinkpad. Thinkpad is the best among all of those in my experience.
