google the error code, usually you will find some info

some virus can contaminate the live update

for Norton, there is a tool (or website) to solve this issue, you can find it on their official website, just search for the error code there.

BTW, when you uninstall Norton, the live update will not be removed automatically, so you need to remove it from the control panel too before re-installation
