1) take the hard disk out (new model usually one screw at the bottom)
2) connect to a decktop (assume you need to buy a IDE adapter for the 2.5" hard disk to normal IDE cable)
3) format and copy an image of 98 or XP to the hard disk
4) reconnect to notebook
5) run setup or winnt
