從技術上講IT可以截獲未經加密的EMAIL, 但由於成本等原因不是所有的公司都這樣做. 通常一個公司或機構對信息安全越敏感(比如銀行或政府機構)就越有可能這樣做. 如果公司檢查EMAIL內容, 一般會在SECURITY POLICY裏明確說明, 讓雇員事先知道.
