you got the Trojan a while ago, it already damaged your partial system files. MP can't be run is only one sign of the damage.
So, things to do:
1.run virus check completely (use both updated anti-Trojan and general anti-virus software)
2. back up your all personal data
3. fix the Windows by using Windows setup CD.
