solaris is a much better kernel than both linux & bsd

from scalability, security, support for real time tasks, implementation of tcp/ip stacks, ... etc, solaris is a far better os than linux and bsd. besides, sun compiler is also better than gcc. talking about dtrace, you have to love it. on servers, solaris is the choice. on desktops, solaris is not 'cause people don't care about the quality of the os when using desktops. they only care about the ease of use.
