I intend to install redhat's product.. but there is one confusio

In the redhat's download section,there are only two choices, enterprise redhat, and fedora project; older version linux like redhat7.2,8, 9 are available on ftp archieve. As a new user to linux, which one do you suggest install: fedora or redhat 9 ? I have no idea what the differences are, perhaps for fedora some features are striped, right? Please advise..
