Go to Control Panel, click on "Printers and Faxes"

then "Add Printer", pick "A network printer...", then "Browse for a printer", you should see your printer that is shared from your desktop listed. Choose the printer and click on Next, following the on-screen instruction to install the printer driver on your laptop and you should be all set.
