I couldn't kill ccProxy.exe. Access denied.
I just rebooted the computer and imported a registry file from last month. Now at least it seems that eMule is back working again -- a good sign. Firefox seems to work OK -- which is expected after system reboot. But don't know how long this is gonna last. If it continues to work fine, then I guess the problem was fixed somewhere along the line. I will just have to wait a bit and see. Will keep you posted. Thanks again for your kind help.
