Possibly caused by IE update?

I remember reading the news that MS released a cumulative IE security patch on 04/11/2006. Since you have auto-update enabled on your system, I guess if this is causing the error. You may try to download the exe file using a non-IE browser to see if it works. Or restore your system to pre 04/11 to see what happens.
