I was talking about your responsibility to yourself.  You were talking about your responsibility to your boss.  We were talking across each other.  Sorry I was not clear enough.

Your concerns are totally legit.  It was not my intention to lessen them in any shape or form.  Wish I could have been more helpful in addressing those concerns.

But I'm sure you'd agree that a slave may have a lot of responsibilities too.  But none of them is to himself, at least his master will make sure of that.
