Sometimes telling me if it was not b/c him, they would be fired by his boss. But when I had 1:1 with his boss (also Indian),  he actually mentioned I should take one of them as a role model. I don't know who is lying anymore. However, he seems to be very nice to them face to face. For a while, I was very confused.  I have a hard time to know what he really means and which part of his words are true.  I have to be very careful not to say anything to him w.r.t any other employee anymore. I fear he would use my words to his advantage. This is the sad part. In my 20 years career, I have more than 15 managers. They are all human that is not perfect, but I have never had someone like him. I spent a lot of time trying to reflect to see whether this is my problem.
