never look down on no one and never try to hurt no one because no one is a fool, especially those whom you believe are not fool but have great potentials   People know exactly what you are trying to do though they may be not as good as you are technically.   People will appreciate your kind honest and generous help and support, at the time  people will hate you and hurt you If you intentionally look down on or hurt them.

per your message, the co-worker is not a bad guy at all. It’s you who think too much about this very minor things. I believe your boss and your-workers, all co workers will appreciate you and respect you much more from now on
