Sophistication – in English!

親愛的，這是一個關於“老練”（sophistication）的極佳的例子。老板顯然混的不錯，又要招兵買馬了嘛，好現象！更好的現象是：以前跟他混的不錯，瞧瞧人家，這話說得多“老練”，字字珠磯啊，俺一字不漏地抄一下：

“We are adding staff, and moving people around in the office, and 。。。. I have fond memories of the old gang.”

短短幾句，信息清楚（We are adding staff – 公司生意有發展；and moving people around – 其本人也升了官加了權； I have fond memories of the old gang – 他對過去的老夥計的能幹和忠誠滿意，如果把他們重新招入麾下對他是最有利的）。

而且，還態度謙躬，行為得體，可進可退（I have fond memories of the old gang – 先看看這幫混小子的反應，有那混得好的不屑於回去重新給他捧臭腳，那也沒事，大把的college kids還沒地兒去哪，招幾個訓練訓練也行，要求又不高。。。）。

人精啊：），可是要想混出點門道，不學著點人精行嗎？（和平年代，又是機會主義國家，又不是搞階級鬥爭 – 那個搞法就不一樣: “十億人民，不鬥行嗎？”）。

好了，言歸正傳： This is a great chance to learn sophistication: never turn around a SMILING FACE! (And never bite a FEEDING HAND). And, if that woman had been me, she would respond in a way like:

I am really flattered – I'm so glad I performed that well! I also have very fond memories about my boss, is there anything I can do for you this time? (and move one from there... go get the job):)
