4 months , got laid off --which reason is better to say

for future job hunting ?

1. I got laid off due to company reason. The reason is combination of my high salary and lack of available project. They hired me mainly to do two projects initially, i finished one of them, the other one they decided to put on hold, and not sure when to start again..worked 4.5 months, got 2 months severance pay.

2. I resigned due to family emergency, my XXX was sick ...BLAH.

3. any other good ones?
