I was fired because of bad realtionship with my former boss. Now I am looking for a job. After 3 round onsite interviews, I am asked for three professional reference. I gave them 3, one is my former boss I worked for him 9 years ago for about 2 years, 2nd one is my former coworker whom I worked with 11 years ago for less than 2 years and the 3rd one is former coworker whom I worked with her less than 10 years ago for about 6 years. I was told all three gave me good reference but HR ask me for addition reference - my boss whom I worked under direct supervision within the last five years.  Now I do not want my former boss i worked for the last five years to be my reference. 

What should I do?
