I joined a new company since feb. a lady who is the most senior

Always try to simplify things when I tried to ask her. Then I decided to do my own research, look into their history data, talk with other people involved . I only ask her specific questions when I find things not quite right or just to confirm my understanding. She respects me more knowing I am not so easy to be fooled around.
